Margaret M. Forrester Vitek, a resident of Hiawatha Care Center, died Tuesday, March 27, 2007, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids, following congestive heart failure.
Services: 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 30, 2007, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids by Rev. Dr. Glenn Hunt. Visitation: 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Margaret is survived by three children, Chuck (Bev) Forrester of Cedar Rapids, Dennis (Marjorie) Forrester of Cedar Rapids, Gary (Linda) Vitek of Marion; five grandchildren, Rick (Wendy) Forrester, Bill (Lisa) Forrester, Rodd (Tara) Forrester, Joe Vitek and Mike Bateman; and several great-grandchildren.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, William Forrester and Floyd Vitek; an infant daughter, Joan Eileen; two brothers and one sister.
Margaret was born on October 6, 1914, to Sophie (Wendel) and Arthur Zimmerman in Marengo. She worked at Wilson and Company for 30 years. Margaret was a member of Eden United Church of Christ and Wilson?s P3 Retirees. Margaret loved to sew, crochet, travel and fish.
