Margaret Louise Swanson (Klink)

Margaret L. Swanson, 93, of Manchester, died Friday, January 5, 2007 at the Regional Medical Center in Manchester from complications of pneumonia.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. on Monday, January 8, 2007 at First Lutheran Church in Manchester by Rev. Dr. Jean Rabary. Family will greet friends from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm on Sunday at the Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Manchester and one hour before services Monday at the church. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Manchester.
Margaret was born October 26, 1913 in Bloomington, Illinois, the daughter of Paul & Bertha (Prehm) Klink. She was baptized into the Lutheran faith. When Margaret was ten years of age her family moved to Iowa. She confirmed her faith at the Peace Lutheran Church in Ryan, Iowa. On October 10, 1934 Margaret married William Blosch. Margaret and William farmed near Prairie Township, southwest of Manchester. The couple had three children. William passed away September 23, 1956. On February 4, 1961 Margaret married Tony Swanson. The couple lived in Manchester. Tony passed away January 17, 1963.
Margaret was a member of the First Lutheran Church and Eagles Aerie # 3538 in Manchester. She worked at Martin?s Bakery and for fifteen years at the Good Neighbor Home before retiring. She enjoyed making baked goods for the farmer?s markets.
Margaret is survived by her daughter, Iva (Jon) DeSmidt of Cedar Falls; a son, Robert Blosch of Hiawatha; a stepson, Roger Swanson of Monona; a daughter-in-law, Jacqueline "Jackie? Blosch of Manchester; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Margaret was preceded in death by her two husbands, William Blosch and Tony Swanson; her parents Paul & Bertha Klink; one son, Edwin Blosch; one brother, Carl Klink; two sisters, Anna Antons and Irene Wenger; and a niece, Grace Shepard-Eichenberger.
