Margaret Ella Stepanek, 80, of Manchester entered into eternal life Monday, October 13, 2008 after her courageous battle with cancer.
Funeral Services for Margaret Stepanek will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 17, 2008 at the Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Manchester. Family will greet friends 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 16 at Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Waterloo, Iowa.
Margaret was born January 13, 1928 in Sugar Grove, Ohio, the daughter of Charles and Alma (Wiseman) Bryan. She was united in marriage to Vernon Felix Stepanek on February 2, 1947 at the First Congregational Church in Waterloo, Iowa.
Margaret enjoyed her family, cooking, fishing and playing cards.
Margaret is survived by six children, Diane Bielec of Buffalo, NY, Marcia (Les) Lincoln of Charles City, Verna Kay (Mark) Hentges of Grundy Center, Steve (Darla) Stepanek of Manchester, Mark (Krista) Stepanek of Vinton, and Janice (Richard) Dunphy of Manchester; twelve grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; one brother and four sisters.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Alma Bryan; her husband, Vernon F. Stepanek; one infant daughter, a son-in-law, Robert Bielec; and two brothers, Francis and Earl Bryan.
