Margaret J. "Peg? Scott, 67, of 1105 Linnview Drive, Marion, died Thursday, July 7, 2005, at her home from complications of cancer. Funeral Mass: 10 a.m. Monday, July 11, 2005, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marion by Rev. José Comparán. Visitation will be from 2 - 6 p.m. Sunday (July 10,) at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion. Burial: Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her husband, Everett; four daughters, Dawn Scott of Marion, Diana (Gary) Frazer of Shelbina, Missouri, Denise Scott of Shellsburg and Debra Seastrom and Brad Bean of Shellsburg; a sister, Patricia (Larry) James of Claremore, Oklahoma; eleven grandchildren; and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Margaret was born July 22, 1937, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Thomas L. and Margaret E. (McEvoy) Ozburn. On June 4, 1955, she married Everett H. Scott at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marion. Margaret worked at Rockwell Collins for twenty-five years, retiring in 1999.
Margaret was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 298 of Marion, VFW Auxiliary Post No. 788 of Cedar Rapids, past board member of the Cedar Rapids Women?s Bowling Association, junior bowling coach for many years and did volunteer work after retirement.
