Margaret A. Schoenthal, 87, of the Arbor Place at Methwick Manor, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died there Tuesday, October 2, 2007, following a brief illness. Graveside Service: 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 4, 2007, at Center Grove Cemetery, Dubuque, Iowa, by Pastor Chris English. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include three children, Fred and Jeri Schoenthal of Maricopa, Arizona, Mary Kennedy of Cedar Rapids and Judy and Wayne Kuhl of Paradise Valley, Arizona; seven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Fredrick; parents; two brothers; and four sisters.
Margaret was born August 24, 1920, in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of Victor and Hannah (Dempsey) Miller. On June 14, 1938, she married Fredrick Schoenthal in Dubuque. He died March 3, 1985. A longtime resident of Dubuque, she resided the past 5 years in Cedar Rapids.
She was a member of the Third Presbyterian Church and the Red Hat Society at Arbor Place.
