Margaret M. Lund, 91, a resident of the Hiawatha Care Center, died there Friday, November 14, 2003, following a long illness. Services are private and there will be no visitation. Inurnment: Walnut Cemetery, Walnut, Illinois. Arrangements are by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion.
Survivors include two nephews, Lt. Col. Jim Lund of Chatham, Illinois, and Dr. John Lund of Oregon, Illinois; three great-nephews, Robert Lund, of Dixon, Illinois, Matthew Lund and Gabriel Lund of Chatham, Illinois; and two great-nieces, Sarah Lund of Dixon, Illinois, and Zarina Lund of Chatham, Illinois.
Margaret Marie Lund was born June 5, 1912, in Mankato, Minnesota, to Joseph and Grace McElvania Lund. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Omer and Robert Lund. Margaret received a nursing degree from St. Luke?s Nursing School in Cedar Rapids in 1935, and worked at her profession until her retirement from Rockwell-Collins. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, Cedar Rapids.
