Margaret T. Knudsen
February 2, 1919 — December 22, 2002
Margaret T. Knudsen, 83, of 1030 31st St., died Sunday, December 22, 2002, at Mercy Medical Center, following a brief illness. Services: 10 a.m. Friday, December 27, 2002, at First Presbyterian Church of Marion by Rev. Howard Chapman. Visitation from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion and one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her sons, James T. Knudsen and Charles R. Knudsen, both of Marion; a grandson, Christopher M. Knudsen; a brother-in-law, John H. Knudsen and wife Vernice of Marion; and close friends, Esther Atwater and Dixie Knudsen.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Max.
Margaret was born February 2, 1919, the daughter of William A. and Mildred (Daniels) Taylor in Cedar Rapids. She married Max Knudsen on July 9, 1943, at the First Presbyterian Church of Marion. He died June 25, 1982. Margaret was a homemaker. She was a great mother and enjoyed doing everything for her family. Margaret was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Marion where she attended regularly. She also played cards at the Marion Senior Center and enjoyed meeting friends for breakfast. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
