Margaret E. Joslin, 86, of 1740 Daleview Drive, Marion, died Tuesday, December 12, 2006, at Crestview Acres in Marion, following a brief illness. Services: 10 a.m. Saturday, December 16, 2006, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion, by the Rev. Christine Wagner-Hecht. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5:00 - 7:30 p.m. Friday. Margaret will be inurned at St. Joseph Cemetery in Prairieburg at the same time as her husband, Lawrence, with military honors by American Legion Wapsi Post No. 421 of Central City.

Survivors include a daughter, Janice (Don) of Marion and Pat (Richard) Parrish of Tucson, Arizona; six grandchildren, Julie Kuhlman of Marion, Gina Sorensen of Austin, Texas, Mike Brink of California, Jason Joslin of Tucson, Arizona, Tom Joslin of Australia and Joshua Parrish of the U.S. Army.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence, who died May 18, 2006; her parents; a son, Gary; a sister, Dorothy Woodward; and two brothers, Raymond and Merle Drexler.

Margaret was born July 27, 1920, the daughter of Louis and Rose Drexler in Cedar Rapids. On February 3, 1940, she was united in marriage to Lawrence E. Joslin. Margaret had been a cook at the Rainbow Supper Club in Fairview, where she had worked together with her husband, Lawrence.

With deepest gratitude and love, the family of Margaret and Lawrence request that memorials be directed to Hospice of Mercy in their memories.

The family also wishes to extend a special heartfelt thank you to the staff at Crestview Acres in Marion for their kind and loving care of Margaret during the past five months.
