Margaret “Marge” Holub, 44, of Central City, died Monday, July 9, 2012. Funeral Mass: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 14, 2012, at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Central City by Father Wayne Droessler. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the church where a scripture service will begin at 4:00 p.m. Burial: St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Prairieburg, Iowa. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Central City.
Survivors include her husband, Benjamin Holub; four children, Hillary-18, Nathan-16, Mallory-13, and Emily-11, all at home; her parents, Arthur and Karen Schulte of Watkins; her mother-in-law, Pat Holub of Coggon; brothers and sisters, Nick Schulte of Amana, Anne (Ralph) Reinhart of Norway, Dean (Chris) Schulte of Cedar Rapids, Robert (Vicki) Schulte of Watkins, Charlie (Kathy) Schulte of Cedar Rapids, and Michelle (Brad) Day of Cedar Rapids; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Wayne (Paula) Holub of Coggon, Patty (Grant) Wilken of Marion, Suzanne (Jim) Tresnak and Maynard (Diane) Holub of Cedar Rapids, Carmen (Kevin) Casey of Martelle, and Tammy (Mike) Hansen of Olin; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Kay Schulte; her father-in-law, Stanley Holub and his first wife, LaVern; and a brother-in-law, Carl Holub.
Marge was born July 23, 1967, the daughter of Arthur and Karen (Boddicker) Schulte in Cedar Rapids. On November 30, 1991, she married Benjamin Holub in Norway, Iowa. Marge was the business manager at North Linn School District. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Coggon.
Marge was a very generous person. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother who always put her family first. Marge loved to cook and bake, she enjoyed jogging, and most of all enjoyed watching her children’s activities. She continued her giving ways through organ donation.
A memorial fund has been established in memory of Marge.
