Marcus Edward Ferreter

Marcus E. Ferreter, 73, of Marion, Iowa, passed away on Monday, July 4, 2022, at Silver Oak Nursing Home in Marion. A private family burial will be held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Coggon, Iowa. Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Marion is assisting the family.
Marcus was born on February 2, 1949, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Edward and Eileen (Miller) Ferreter. He graduated from Central City High School before attending Mt. St. Clare College in Clinton, Iowa. Marcus served honorably in the United States Air Force before becoming a mail processer for the United States Postal Service in St. Cloud, Minnesota. He enjoyed hiking, achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Marcus is survived and lovingly remembered by his son, Brian Ferreter (Kasi) of Cedar Rapids; daughter, Erinn (Jeremy) Fuller of Philadelphia, Mississippi; four grandchildren, Lily, Valerie, Camille, and Dylan; one brother, William (Mary) Ferreter of Idaho; two sisters, Margaret Ferreter of Marion, and Lois (Rodney) Ocenosak of Marion; former wife, Mary Ferreter of Chatfield, Minnesota; one sister-in-law, Gretchen (William) Hunt of Texas; and one brother-in-law, William Stanley of Marion.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary Stanley; brother, Robert “Bob” Ferreter; and infant brother, George Michael Ferreter.
