Marcia Ann Pruisner, 66, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2020, at Ennoble Nursing and Rehab in Dubuque, Iowa, with her family by her side. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, November 2, 2020, at Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Manchester. Funeral service will take place 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 3, 2020, at the Manchester United Methodist Church, with burial following at Oakland Cemetery, Manchester. All guests are respectfully encouraged to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
Marcia was born November 25, 1953 in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Donald and Mary (Cummings) Worthen. She graduated from Washington High School in Vinton, Iowa in 1972 and attended Hamilton Business College. On April 16, 1977, Marcia married Douglas Pruisner in Waterloo, Iowa. Two daughters were born to this union.
Douglas and Marcia made their home in Manchester. Marcia stayed home to raise her daughters and later went to work at Subway. She loved her grandchildren, they were her life. Marcia enjoyed sewing, embroidery work, puzzle books, playing Bingo and the Waterloo Black Hawks.
Surviving are her two daughters, Melissa (Lynn) Fry, Amanda (Adam) Keck both of Edgewood, Iowa; four grandchildren, Elijah, Maya, Albert and Faith; sister, Shari (Shion) King; brother and sister-in-law, Doran (Liz) Pruisner, Diane (Duane) Madoerin, along with many nieces and nephews.
Marcia was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Mary Worthen; husband, Douglas Pruisner in 1995; her sister, Patty McElhaney; brother, Rick Worthen and sister-in-law, Linda Holmes.
