Marcetes “Marcy” Wischmeyer, 96, a resident of Living Center West, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died there Sunday, July 05, 2009. Graveside Service: 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 7, 2009, at Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her son, Harold (Patty) Wischmeyer of Cedar Rapids; daughter, Phyllis Lodewyck of Pahrump, Nevada; grandchildren, Wendy (Mark) Votroubek and Tracey Velkey both of Cedar Rapids, Scott (Laurie) Wischmeyer of Peosta, Kirk (Jenna) Wischmeyer of Mt. Vernon, Debbie (Bill) Wagnon of Pahrump, Nevada, Patricia (Arnie) Adamsen and Bob Smith both of Las Vegas, Nevada, Laurie (Jeff) Grimaud of Pahrump, Nevada and Tim Smith of Las Vegas, Nevada; 16 great grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; and two brothers, Harold Hauberg of Nebraska City, Nebraska and Walter (Betty) Hoffman of Marion.
Marcy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul; grandson, Michael Wischmeyer; brother, Chester Goldsberry; and sister, Pauling Legg.
Born May 18, 1913, in Nebraska City, Nebraska, Marcy was the daughter of George and Emma (Hauberg) Goldsberry. On March 30, 1933, she married Paul Wischmeyer in Rock Port, Missouri. He died April 13, 1970. Marcy was employed as a clerk for Kieck’s for 15 years.
Marcy was a member of Salem Church.
