Mana J. French, 63, of rural Springville, died Friday, February 28, 2003, at her home, following a long illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 4, 2003, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion by Rev. Marty Schuhmacher. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial: Springville Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Larry; her children, Michael French (fiancé Krystal) of Olin, Lynn (Terry) Smith of Springville and Lisa (Bernie) Crump of Cedar Rapids; her sister, Cathy (Ted) Stachow of Springville; and seven grandchildren, Brandon, Ethan and Devin French, Aaron and Samantha Smith, and Ross and Veronica Crump.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Mana was born August 24, 1939, the daughter of Hugh E. and Mary A. (Woodworth) Bollinger in Ft. Scott, Kansas. Mana moved with her family to the Springville area in 1952 and graduated from Springville High School in 1957. On January 9, 1960, she married Larry E. French in Springville. Mana worked in customer service at the Von Maur Department Store in Cedar Rapids for 24 years.
