Mae Elizabeth Keenan, 93, of Manchester, died Friday, October 31, 2014. Funeral Mass: 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 4, 2014, St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Manchester. The family will greet friends from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m., Monday, November 3, 2014, at Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Manchester, where there will be a 4:00 p.m. Catholic Daughters of America rosary and an 7:30 p.m. scripture service. Additional visitation from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, at the church. Burial: St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Masonville.

Mae was born December 16, 1920, to Lyle and Pearl (Turner) Miller north of Manchester in a log cabin. She attended country school in the area. She married Joseph Patrick Keenan on August 11, 1942, in Manchester. She was a hot lunch cook with St. Mary’s School. Mae enjoyed playing bingo, attending garage sales, quilting, and day trips to explore and eat out. She was independent, canning much of her own produce. Mae was devoted to her family and they always came first in her life. She was a humble person and very appreciative of everything.

She was a 64 year member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She was also a member of Catholic Daughters of America and volunteered with Camp Courageous Garage Sale, and the food pantry.

Mae is survived by her children, Jerry (Dawn) Keenan, Manchester, Rich (Teresa) Keenan, Manchester, Aggie (Jim) Doyle, Cedar Rapids, Mary Jo (Wayne) Munkel, St. Louis, MO, Don (Sonja) Keenan, Delhi, and Ellen “Katie” Gish, Minneapolis, MN; 13 grandchildren, Teri, Michelle, Jim Jr., Keith, Lisa, Chris, Ann, Karen, Kelly, Chris, Sean, Devin, and Skyler; 8 great-grandchildren, Lauren, Gabrielle, Tess, Aaron, Cody, Colton, Zoey, and Nate, and siblings, Clifford Miller, Independence, Archie Miller, Rowley, Harriet Fisher, Manchester, and Helen Brown, Bishop TX.

Mae was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph in 1984; and siblings, Roy Miller, Raymond Miller, Dorothy Pinch, Harry Miller, and George Miller.
