Survivors include her daughters, Dianna May of Denver, Colorado, Delores (Michael) Dammen of Albert Lea, Minnesota, and Dixie Kaplan of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; four grandchildren, Hilary and Chris May, Corey (Tisha) Constien and Tina Kaplan; ten great-grandchildren; and sister, Vi (Carl) Masey of Lisbon, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alvin; son, Dean in 1970 and Gary in 2002; sister, Alberta Neal; brothers, Oliver, Dale, Duke, Melvin and Billy; and special friend, Cliff Koeger.
Mae was born March 28, 1930, the daughter of Fred and Catherine (Zerbe) Northrup, in Marion, Iowa. She married Alvin Constien and together they ran the Nora Springs Butcher Shop. Alvin died in June of 1971 and Mae moved to Swisher and then Cedar Rapids. She worked for Methwick as supervisor of the laundry department, retiring after 12 years of service.
