M. Iris Ash “Ikey”, of 1746 Parkside Drive N.E., Solon, Iowa, died Wednesday, August 6, 2008, in the Heritage Nursing Center, Cedar Rapids. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m., Friday, August 8, 2008, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her husband, Garlyn; sons, Eric (Paulette) Ash of Cedar Rapids and Erin (Kathy) Ash of Winter Springs, Florida; and grandchildren, Alexia Ash and Kylie Ash,
Iris was preceded in death by her parents; brother and sister.
Born July 18, 1927, the youngest daughter of John and Ethel O’Reagan, she attended Coggon High School, worked for Collins Radio for 14 years and then at the Lake Macbride Country Club for 15 years. She always had a smile and a friendly “hello” to everyone who knew her. A wonderful wife and mother-that was Iris.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed in Iris’s memory to the Cedar Valley Humane Society, 7411 Mt. Vernon Road S.E., Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52403.
