Lynn Kyle Ritter-Stuart, 68, of Dell Rapids, South Dakota, died Thursday, April 29, 2010, at the Sanford Hospital, Sioux Falls, South Dakota, following a lengthy illness.
A Military Graveside burial will be at 1:00 pm on Sunday, May 2, 2010, at Fairview Cemetery in Earlville, Iowa. Clifton-Murdoch Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Kyle was born on April 11, 1942, in Waverly, Iowa, the son of Norma Cain. He graduated from Earlville High School in 1960. He entered the U.S. Navy servicing on the U.S.S. Independence. Kyle married Ruth Ann Kramer. Upon his discharge, Kyle worked as a implement salesmen then as a technician for Eco Lab, both in the Clear Lake, Iowa. Ruth Ann Ritter died on June 11, 1990. Kyle moved to moved to Minnesota where he was salesman for Plainview Dairy Supply. He then started his own dairy supply business, Kyle’s I.B.A. He sold the business in 2006 and retired. Kyle married Shirley Stuart on May 30, 1998.
Kyle enjoyed music, fishing and hunting and was a member of Peasants Forever. He had a pilot’s license and enjoyed flying model airplanes as well.
Kyle is survived by his wife, Shirley Stuart of Dell Rapids, South Dakota; two sons, Kyle (Stacey) Ritter of Belmond, Iowa, and Robert (Kim) Ritter of Clear Lake, Iowa; two step sons, John (Holly)Wermager of Chaska, Minnesota, and Matthew (Allison) Wermager of Austin, Texas; four grandchildren; two brothers, George (Bonnie) ritter of Freeport, Illinois, and Tom (Dee) Ritter of Belle Plains, Iowa; two sisters, Carol (Dale) Cafferty of Lake City, Iowa, and Caroline (Michael) Moriarity of Leland, Iowa.
Kyle was preceded in death by his mother, Norma Cain Ritter Coulter and his first wife, Ruth Ann Ritter.
