Lynn A. Bennett, 50, of Farmersburg, Iowa, died Friday, June 22, 2007, in Prairie du Chien Memorial Hospital, Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, following a long cancer illness. Services: 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 29, 2007, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. The family will greet friends from 2 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 28, 2007, at the funeral home. Burial: St. Patrick's Cemetery, Fairfax.
Survivors include her husband, William; mother, Della Coats of O'Fallen, Missouri; step-mother, Betty Hamilton of Fairfax; son, John Hansen of Farmersburg; daughters, Deann (Jerry) Smith of Marengo and Sabina (Chris) Domeier of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin; five grandchildren, Austin Hansen, Hunter Smith, Jovi Smith, Hunter Domeier, Caleb Domeier and Ebony Domeier; sisters, Kim Dains of Marengo, Angie McEwen of St. Peters, Missouri and Suzette (John) Pontius of Atlanta, Georgia; brothers, Scott (Rhonda) Hamilton of Stanwood, Iowa, Mark (Diana) Hamilton of Solon, Brad (Beth) Hamilton of Fairfax and Tad Hamilton of Marengo; and 22 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dean Hamilton; and brother, Rick Hamilton.
Lynn was born April 3, 1957, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Dean and Della Hamilton. On June 27, 1998, she married William (Barney) Bennett at Pikes Peak. She worked at Amana Refrigeration for 22 years and 3M for 2 years.
Lynn liked to bowl and enjoyed gardening, motorcycling and camping.
