Lyn Ann Piotrowski (Allsbrow)
August 26, 1950 — November 4, 2007
Lyn Ann Piotrowski, 57, of Mechanicsville, formerly of Rock Island, Princeton, Quad Cities, and Madison, Wisconsin, died Sunday, November 4, 2007, at her home, following a lengthy and courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Memorial Mass: 10:30 a.m., Thursday, November 8, 2007, at Sisters of Mercy Sacred Heart Convent Chapel at Mount Mercy College, Cedar Rapids, by Father Jim Brokman and Father Andrew Kelly. The family will greet friends from 2 - 8 on Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion.
Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Thomas Piotrowski; two sons, Jason Fletcher of Waukon, and Jeffrey (Lizz Pena) of Golden, Colorado; and a daughter, Kellie (Jon) Engen of Mazomanie, Wisconsin; a grandson, Hunter Daniel Fletcher and a grandchild on the way, Baby Engen. Other survivors include one sister, Janet (Dave) Burroughs of LeClaire, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents Lauren Allsbrow and Shirley Bloss.
Lyn was born on August 26, 1950, the daughter of Lauren and Shirley (Myers) Allsbrow, in Rock Island, Illinois. She was married to Tom on April 2, 1977 in Rock Island, Illinois. She was an office manager for Catholic Charities in Cedar Rapids for 11 years. Lyn was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
