Lyle E. McBurney, 84, of Toddville, died Friday, October 9, 2015. The family will greet friends from 5-7 p.m. Monday, October 12, 2015, at Center Point Road Church of Christ in Toddville. Celebration of Life: 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 13, 2015, at the church by T.J. Klith. Private Family Inurnment: Dunkard Cemetery in Toddville.

Survivors include his wife of nearly 61 years, Virginia; three children, Kay (Richard) Sherman of Searcy, Arkansas, Deb (Pat) Bashaw of Searcy, Arkansas, and Dan McBurney of Toddville; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and two sisters.

Lyle was born January 20, 1931, the son of Claude and Blanche (Hepker) McBurney in Toddville. He attended Toddville School. On December 3, 1954, he married Virginia Craig in Toddville. Lyle served with the Marines during the Korean War. He owned and operated McBurney Well Drilling.

Lyle was a member of Center Point Road Church of Christ, Toddville American Legion Post #674, and past volunteer for the Monroe Township Fire Department.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Monroe Township Fire Department in Lyle’s memory.
