Luke Matthew Timm, 3 ½ months, of Urbana, Iowa, passed away Friday, November 23, 2007, in University of Iowa Hospital & Clinics, in Iowa City. Funeral Mass: 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, November 27, 2007, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids, by Rev. Donald Klein. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., Monday, November 26, 2007, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, with a vigil service at 6 p.m. Burial: Czech National Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his parents, Matt and Ann; maternal grandparents, Frank and Linda VanEtten of Walker; paternal grandparents, Dave and Joleen Timm of Tama; maternal great grandparents, John and Marilyn VanEtten of Cedar Rapids, Leota Novotny of Cedar Rapids and Raymond Novotny of Center Point; paternal great grandmother, Gert Timm of Tama; and many other loving and proud aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal great grandfather, Alfred “Phil” Timm; and his maternal great grandparents, George and Gladys Konicek.
Luke was born August 4, 2007, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Matt and Ann (VanEtten) Timm.
Luke’s smile was both beautiful and inspiring and we’ll always remember his courage and resilience.
