Lucile T. Harvey, 94, of Northbrook Manor Care Center, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died there Monday, August 4, 2008, following a long illness. Memorial Service: 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 9, 2008, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Cedar Rapids, by Elder Scott Kacere. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her daughter, Marlene Torrey of Marion; grandchildren, Vicki, Roxy, Tracy and Terry; eight great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lucile was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter; son, Sonny Lane; grandson, Paul Harvey; two brothers; and two sisters.
Lucile was born April 21, 1914, the daughter of Edward and Ethel (Andrews) Jakubec. She lived most of her life in Vinton and Cedar Rapids. She married Walter Harvey. He died in 1983. Lucile was co-owner of the Vinton Café for 8 years.
Lucile enjoyed her knitting, her family, her faith and was a very loving person.
