Lowell Laverne Noggle

Lowell Laverne Noggle, 75, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, November 28, 2008, at Mercy Medical Center. Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 3, 2008, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids. Visitation will be from 4:00 ?" 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion and one hour prior to the service at the church. Graveside Service: 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Greenwood Cemetery in Masonville, Iowa.
Survivors include seven children, Malynda (Jeff) Stegman, LaVern Noggle, Lawrence Noggle, LeRay Noggle, Lyndon (Donna) Noggle, Machelle Noggle, Marla (Pete) Prentice; a sister, Inez Utley; thirteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marlene; and a sister, Marilyn Noggle.
Lowell was born July 31, 1933, the son of Ray and Regina (Kruse) Noggle in Elkport. He graduated from Oneida High School. On August 4, 1957, he married Marlene J. Henderson in Masonville. She died July 22, 1997. Lowell worked at Rockwell Collins for thirty-seven years, retiring in 1990.
Lowell was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He was an avid bowler and toy collector. Lowell enjoyed traveling, hunting, and fishing.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Lowell’s memory.
