Louise Mary Budan Nakae, 81, of Winnetka, CA, formerly of Earlville, died February 28th in Northridge, CA.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 20 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Earlville by Rev. Herbert Tegeler. Burial will be in the St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Earlville. Clifton-Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Earlville are in charge of local arrangements.

Louise was born October 6, 1927 in Earlville, the daughter of Victor and Mary (Spefslage) Budan. She attended school at St. Joseph’s in Earlville. Louise moved to Waterloo, where she married Takuro Nakae in 1950. The family moved to California in 1955.

Louise was a founding member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish in Winnetka and was very active in church life. She served as a teacher for many years and was the director of religious education for the parish in the 1970s. Louise was a loving spouse and mother.

Louise is survived by her husband, Takuro Nakae of Winnetka, CA; eight children, Kim, Joel, Paul, Julia (DeLeo), Keay, John, James, and Mary (Wells); 15 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Viola DeMoss of Earlville and Wilma Hildebrand of Manchester; and one brother, Vic Budan of Dyersville.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Mary Budan; brothers, Ernest and Delbert Budan; sisters, Helen Budan, Jenette Brillhart, and Angela Baun.
