Louise E. (Wimer) Hall, 95, a resident of Winslow House Care Center in Marion, died there on Friday, November 28, 2008, following long illness. Services: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 6, 2008, at New Sharon Friends Church by Rev. Dave Pinkerton. Burial: Friends Cemetery in New Sharon. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion.

Survivors include her son, Jerry Wimer and companion Frances Davis of Reinbeck; daughter-in-law, Katherine (Sparks) Wimer of Cedar Rapids; stepson, Robert (Becky) Hall of Iowa City; a brother, Wayne (Ruth) Hargrave of Salida, Colorado; seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husbands; a son, Benny Wimer; and a grandson, David Wimer.

Louise was born September 1, 1913, the daughter of Harvey and Flora (Rockwell) Hargrave in New Sharon. She married Alvin A. Wimer in 1931 and later divorced. She then married Harold M. Hall. She worked at Butterfield Rayborn Electric and Killians Department Store for many years in Cedar Rapids.

Louise was Chairman of Red Cross Volunteers of Mahaska County. She was also very involved with Farm Bureau and 4-H organizations. She loved to bake her wedding cakes and to entertain her family and friends.
