LOUIS A. CAMERON, 83, of the Northbrook Manor Care Center, Cedar Rapids, died there August 31, 2006, following a long illness. Services: 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, September 6, 2006, at the Troy Mills Christian Church, Troy Mills, Iowa, by the Rev. Leo Andersen. The family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, September 5, 2006, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Walker, Iowa. Burial: Troy Mills Cemetery, Troy Mills, Iowa.
Survivors include his stepson, David Boonhower of Tacoma, Washington; his stepdaughter, Mary; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris; his parents; three brothers, DeWitt, Arthur and Clarence Cameron; and a sister, Louise Allen.
Louis was born August 26, 1923, in Cedar County, Iowa, the son of Don and Maggie (Albaugh) Cameron. On February 18, 1965, he was united in marriage to Doris Newland in Springville, Iowa. Louis spent his life farming.
A memorial fund has been established in memory of Louis.
