Lorraine was born the daughter of Gilbert O. and Henrietta (Koshatka) Waldemer on April 28, 1928, in Elma, Iowa. Shortly before Lorraine?s fifth birthday, her mother died. Five years later, her father married Fleda B. Scott. She graduated from Central City High School in 1946 and attended Coe College, achieving her teaching certificate. On December 23, 1948, she was united in marriage to Gene Richard Anderson at Jordan?s Grove Baptist Church near Central City. Lorraine and Gene attended Faith Christian Fellowship in Whittier.
Lorraine was the best cook in the world and loved games of all sorts. She was constantly kind and helpful to all, and always gracious to anyone helping her. Her smile was a symbol of her loving spirit and she nurtured anyone and everyone in her presence. Lorraine will always be dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
The family extends a special thank you to Dr. Cowden, Dr. Solverton and the staff of St. Luke?s Intensive Care Unit for their loving care during Lorraine?s illness and death. You have all shown us a beautiful reflection of our mother?s philosophy of caring for those entrusted to you in every possible way through thought, word and deed.
