Lorilynne Pantini, 53, of Marion, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 9, 2018, at Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha. The family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, June 15, 2018, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion. Celebration Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 16, 2018, at First Presbyterian Church, Marion, conducted by Reverend Dr. Howard Chapman. The family requests casual attire. Private family burial will take place at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.

Lorilynne was born December 27, 1964, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Allyn and Cherie (Ernst) Gothe. She graduated from Linn-Mar High School in 1983. Lorilynne was united in marriage to Andrew Pantini on December 30, 1988, in Marion. She worked as a nurse’s aide at Mercy Medical Center Hallmar in Cedar Rapids. Lorilynne was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Marion. She was most happy when she was attending sporting events with Andy. Lorilynne was a big fan of the Cedar Rapids Kernels and Cedar Rapids Roughriders. She helped as an off-ice official and ran the clock at Linn-Mar football games for many years. Lorilynne enjoyed bowling and traveled to many state and national tournaments. We know her grandpa Walt and his “Tootsie” were cheering for the new Triple Crown winner.

She is survived by her husband, Andrew Pantini of Marion; father, Allyn (Patty) Gothe of Cedar Rapids; mother, Cherie (Glenn) Wallace of Marion; brother, Bret (Jeff Conrad) Gothe of West Branch; uncle, Doug Ernst of Delhi; Nieces, Sydney and Emma Pantini; cousins, Krista (Russ) Hunt of Delhi and Faith, Teige, Amaya, Saige and Kash Hunt; mother and father-in-law, Tony and Shirley Pantini of Marion; brothers-in-law, Wayne (Deb) Pantini of Creston and T.J. Pantini of Cedar Rapids; sister-in-law, Amy Pantini Hubbard of San Jose, California; and four-legged child, Colette.

Lorilynne was preceded in death by her grandparents, Walt and Marge Ernst and Earl and Florence Gothe.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to her caregivers, Dr. Samuel Wood, Nicole, Becca, Chris, Amanda, Chanice, Hailey, Jill, Casey, and Laura for the compassionate care given to Lorilynne.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Lorilynne’s memory may be directed to the Hall-Perrine Cancer Center, Hospice of Mercy and Cedar Valley Humane Society.
