Loretta M. Owens, 80, of Marion, died Sunday, January 30, 2011, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Funeral Service: 12:00 noon, Friday, February 4, 2011, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion. Family will greet friends one hour prior to services. Burial: Oak Shade Cemetery, Marion, Iowa.
Survivors include her husband, Pat; two children, Daniel (Brenda) Broghammer of Davenport, and Becky (Ron) Roberts of Arizona; 5 grandchildren, Joshua Broghammer, Anne Ironside, John Broghammer, Ron Roberts, and Michelle Almond; 5 great-grandchildren, Jack, Max, Brogan, Harley, and Elizabeth; siblings, Charles (Darlene) Willson, James (Marlyn) Willson, and Margaret Graves; and a half-sister, Anne (Harold) Aschim.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, and her parents.
Loretta was born May 1, 1930, in Decorah, Iowa, the daughter of Frank P. and Grace (Malli) Willson. She married Leo Broghamer, who died in 1973. She then married Patrick Owens. She retired from Rockwell Collins. Loretta was a devoted mother. She loved to laugh, dance, and get together with friends.
