Lorean McShane, 93, of Springville, passed away Sunday, October 21, 2018, at Pinicon Place in Anamosa. Visitation: 4 – 7 p.m. Thursday, October 25, 2018, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion. Funeral Service: 10 a.m. Friday, October 26, 2018, at the funeral home conducted by Reverend Anna Mae Peck. Burial: Springville Cemetery, Springville.
Lorean was born May 15, 1925, in Buffalo Township, the daughter of August and Rose (Franta) Spacek. She graduated from Joy Illinois High School in 1943. Lorean was united in marriage to Aubrey D. McShane in May of 1943 in Keithsburg, Illinois. Aubrey passed away on March 24, 2018. Lorean and Aubrey were longtime Linn County farmers. She enjoyed gardening, painting, sewing, baking, and quilting.
She is survived by her son, Steve (Gladys) McShane of Springville; daughters, Laura (Gary) Hendrickson of Blair, Nebraska and Evelyn (Harry) Hart of Milan, Illinois; seven grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Wilma Verger of Platteville, Wisconsin and Bessie (Bob) Bible of Springville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lorean was preceded in death by her husband; infant daughter; and grandson.
