Lois Jean Rowe, 86, of Center Point, Iowa, passed away, Saturday, March 4, 2017, at Crestview Acres, Marion, Iowa. Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, March 11, 2017, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Center Point. Visitation: One hour prior to service at the funeral home. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, at a later date.
Lois is survived by her children, Steven Hepker of Cedar Rapids, and Connie Gerhold (Vern Silver) Gerhold of Central City, Iowa; brother, Bernard (Wanda) Scott; grandchildren, Rich (Sasha) Gerhold, JR (Andrea) Gerhold, Ben (Danielle) Silver, Justin Hepker, Jeff Klein; step-children, Lance, Cheryl, Deb, Roxanne; nine great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and special friend, Nancy Krapfl, of Center Point.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray; parents, Henry and Amy Scott; sons, David and Ronald Hepker; siblings, Thelma, Maxine, Zona, Alfred, and Murray.
Lois was born June 25, 1930, in Joplin, Missouri, the daughter of Henry and Amy (Huling) Scott. She married Lyle Hepker and later divorced. She married Raymond Rowe in 1975 he later passed away. Lois worked for Haddy’s Haven and later worked for Rockwell Collins for 25 years before she retired. She was a member of United Methodist Church, Center Point, as well as the American Legion Auxiliary #297, Center Point Historical Society, and IBEW #1362.
