Lois M. Boddicker, 89, died peacefully in her sleep at Evergreen Estates, Sunday, December 17, 2006. Services: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 20, 2006, at St. Matthew?s Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids by Father Mark Osterhaus. Visitation will be from 10 - 11 a.m. at the church. A private family graveside service will be held.
Survivors include sisters, Marie Campbell of Newhall, Mildred Seber of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, stepmother, sister and stepbrother.
Lois was born July 11, 1917, in Eldorado Twp., Benton County, Iowa to Albert J. and Carrie Weichman Boddicker. She was a graduate of Newhall High School and Cedar Rapids Business College. She worked as a secretary, bookkeeper and bank teller for various employers including Peoples Bank and Trust, John Deere and Co., Bank of America, Iowa National, Equitable of Iowa, Leola Z. Clark, Merchants National Bank, and Ray Company. She was a member of St. Matthew?s Catholic Church, Volunteered at Greene Square and was a faithful visitor of the sick.
Lois enjoyed bowling, playing cards, dancing, reading and writing letters. She was loyal and trustworthy with a great sense of humor. She was loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Friends may make contributions to Hospice of Mercy or a charity of their choice.
