Butler at a dance in Anamosa and they were married on May 31, 1932 at the First Methodist Church in Galena, Illinois. Lodema enjoyed gardening and canning, and raised rabbits and chickens. She also made stuffed animals and dolls which were sold in local stores. Her doll room was her pride and joy and was a place that you didn?t dare enter on your own!
After "Tim? died in 1957, Lodema worked hard making a living by cleaning houses and taking in washings. Above all, she was always kind, sweet, and helpful and was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
