Lloyd K. Taube, 96, of 2739 Jordans Grove Rd., Marion, died peacefully following a short illness on Thursday, January 23, 2003, at Linn Manor Care Center, Marion. Services: 10 a.m. Monday, January 27, 2003, at First Presbyterian Church, Marion, by the Rev. Howard Chapman. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Friends may call at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion, from 1 - 4 p.m. Sunday.
Survivors include two daughters, Susan Regal and husband Lee of Marion and Christine Mahan of Cedar Rapids; a son, Kenneth Taube and wife Lynda of Marion; eight grandchildren, Karen and Stan Regal, Mark and Janette Zahradnik, Kevin Taube and wife Sherrie, Kris Taube, Derick Taube, and Keegan Taube; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred, and sister, Katherine.
Lloyd was born the son of A.J. and Rosa Meakins Taube on June 26, 1906, in rural Marion. On September 1, 1951, he was united in marriage to Mildred Williams. She died November 22, 1973. After graduating from Marion High School in 1924, Lloyd attended Iowa State University. He was a lifetime farmer in the Marion area. Lloyd was a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church of Marion.
