Lloyd "Deese? Allen Reid, 54, Walker, Iowa, died Monday, September 8, 2003, in Buchanan County Health Center, Independence, Iowa, following a long illness. Services: 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 12, 2003, at Walker United Methodist Church, by the Rev. David Siler. Friends may call from 4-8, Thursday, September 11, 2003, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Walker, Iowa. Burial: Dunkard Cemetery, Midway, Iowa.
Survivors include his wife, Delores, four daughters, Lynette Reid, Tina (Rick) Geiger, Beth (Troy) Dunn, all of Walker, and Cristy (John) Walker of Cedar Rapids; and seven grandchildren, Travis, Jeremy, Kaylee, Andrea, Trenton, Tierney and Jacob.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and many aunts and uncles.
Lloyd was born November 16, 1948, in Urbana, Iowa, the son of Norman and Hazel Mae Schmickle Reid. He married Delores Morris on September 9, 1967, in Galena, Illinois. Lloyd owned and operated Reid Trucking. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
