Lloyd J. Noggle
July 2, 1922 — February 18, 2004
Lloyd J. Noggle, 81, of 1604 I Ave. NE, died Wednesday, February 18, 2004, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids, of complications of pneumonia and heart disease. Services: 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 21, 2004, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by Elder Kent Ellithorpe, of Logan, Iowa, a longtime personal friend. The family will greet friends an hour prior to the service. Inurnment: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his children, Lyn (Jim) Schneider of Cedar Rapids, Lois (Jerry) Lenz of Mechanicsville, Corrine (Dennis) Robison of Cedar Rapids and April Starr of Hiawatha; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a brother, Norman D. (Jean) Noggle of Independence and a sister, Doris Noggle of Cedar Rapids.
He was preceded in death by his wife Dolores; his parents; and a granddaughter, Emily Martin.
Lloyd was born July 2, 1922, in McGregor, Iowa, the son of John and Blanche (Marlett) Noggle. He married Dolores Cramer on June 24, 1945, in Cedar Rapids. She died on August 25, 2002. Lloyd worked as a machinist for Barron Motor Company before retirement.
