Lloyd George Hasson, Sr., 73, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Friday, October 21, 2016, at home. Private family graveside will be held at Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his son, John Hasson of Cedar Rapids; brother, Andrew (Iris) Choplick, Jr. of Waverly, Iowa; niece, Tammy Clark of Denver, Colorado; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five sons, Thomas, David, Robert, Lloyd Jr., and Richard Hasson; and two sisters, Sue Doyle and Elizabeth Cinkan.
Lloyd was born December 8, 1942, the son of Edgar and Grace (Lucosh) Hasson, in Braznell, Pennsylvania. He was a long-time truck driver with Transport America and later retired from C. R. Conveying in 1998.
An avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Iowa Hawkeye fan, Lloyd also loved hunting, fishing, golfing and especially his beloved dogs.
