Lisa M. (Webb) Herrera, 32, of 1441 - 38th Street Place, Marion, formerly of Des Moines, died Monday, May 19, 2003, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, following a courageous battle with cancer. Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 22, 2003, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion, by the Rev. Kevin Jones. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 - 8 p.m. Wednesday (May 21, 2003.) Burial: Oak Shade Cemetery, Marion.
Survivors include her husband, Saul; their five-year-old daughter, Samantha Renee and their nine-month-old son, Ryan Michael; her parents, Virgil and Marti Webb of Montezuma; two sisters, Debi Scharf and husband Todd of Altoona and Andi Hatch and husband Jeff of Marion; three brothers, John Huebner and wife Kim of Altoona, Bob Higgins and wife Jodi of Mingo and Doug Webb and wife Susan of Central City; her brother-in-law, Simon Herrera of Orion, Illinois; her sister-in-law, Maria Herrera of Bettendorf; her mother-in-law, Stephanie Herrera and Jim Hayes of Orion, Illinois; and her father-in-law, Saul Herrera Sr. and wife Barb of Rockford, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Renee Webb; and a brother, Michael Webb, who died in infancy.
Lisa was born August 12, 1970, the daughter of Virgil and Martha Webb in Des Moines, Iowa, and was married there on October 7, 1995, to Saul Herrera. She attended the University of Iowa and worked for Aegon USA. Lisa attended the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in Marion.
Lisa was a wonderful and devoted mother. Her family, especially her children, were the focus and the love of her life. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
