Linda Nachazel, 73, of Central City, Iowa, formerly of Anamosa, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2022, at her home in rural Springville. Family will greet friends and family from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, November 17, 2022, at Murdoch Funeral Home in Marion. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, November 18, 2022, at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Springville, Iowa, where an additional visitation will take place an hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in Springville Cemetery.
Linda was born on June 25, 1949, in Monticello, Iowa, the daughter of William and Imelda (Kedley) Beringer. She graduated from Cascade High School. On July 12, 1969, Linda was united in marriage to Laddie Nachazel in Cascade, Iowa. Linda worked for several years at Collins Radio before joining her husband in farming and raising their family. Linda owned and operated her own cleaning business for many years.
She was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church and the Springville American Legion Post #331 Auxiliary. Linda was a hard worker, she enjoyed being outdoors, hunting mushrooms, going for walks, and loved tending her flower gardens. She enjoyed listening to music and dancing. Linda will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Linda is survived and lovingly remembered by her husband of 53 years, Laddie Nachazel of Central City; 5 children, Joe (Michelle) Nachazel of Springville, Jeff (Maggie) Nachazel of Verona, Wisconsin, Julie (Chad) Hinrichs of Marion, Jim Nachazel of Grinnell, and Jerome (Cailey) Nachazel of Marion; grandchildren, Mikayla, Morgan, Caitlin, Meadow, Shawn, Keira, Kyle, Oliver, Arthur, Natalie, Nolan, Nathan and Naomi; and siblings, Barbara (Martin) Shafer of Coralville, Edna (Larry) Heiar of LaMotte, Bill Beringer Jr. of Cascade, Mary (Dan) Goedken of Petersburg, John (Sheila) Beringer of Cascade, Amy (Rick) Bergfeld of Peosta, and Sandra Dotterweich of Monticello.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family to benefit several charities to be determined.
