Linda Leslie Maher, 77, of Marion, Iowa, passed away on March 26, 2023, at her home. A visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with a funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 11, 2023. A burial will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Linda was born on July 9, 1945, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Walter and Dorothy (Hansen) Maher. She was a graduate of Regis High School and graduated from Mount Mercy University. Linda worked for Frank N. Magid Associates for many years and then went on to work part time at the Marion Walmart.
She was an active member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church as a Sacristan and was a Girl Scout leader for many years. She enjoyed reading, going to the library, attending plays and musicals, and listening to jazz music. Linda will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Linda is survived and lovingly remembered by her sister; Lori (Timothy) Duffy of Sierra Vista, Arizona; brother, Tim (Elaine) Maher of Nicholasville, Kentucky; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Patricia Divis, Nancy Grell, and Janice Kesselring; and two nephews, John Divis and Jason Lange.
