Linda Lou Eggelton (Pernicka)

Linda Lou Eggelton, 58, of 4420 Ford Avenue NW, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Sunday, August 5, 2007, in St. Luke’s Hospital, in Cedar Rapids, following a long illness. Services: 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 8, 2007, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Wendell Beets. The family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, August 7, 2007, at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her husband Ozie; parents; daughter, Jamere Eggelton of Cedar Rapids; two sons, Kevin (Susan) Brody of Cedar Rapids and Kraig (Sheila) Brody of Cedar Rapids; step-son, Sorie Grady of Tampa, Florida; five grandchildren, Jordan, Jacob, Jennifer, Wrigley and Addison; two brothers, Larry Pernicka of Cedar Rapids and Duke (Susana) Pernicka of Cedar Rapids; three sisters, Sandra (Larry) Serbousek of Cedar Rapids, Kimberly Dobbins of Cedar Rapids and Michelle Pernicka of Cedar Rapids; sisters-in-law, Eva Mae Williams of Panama City, Florida, Ella Mae Howard of Bristol, Florida, Mary and James McClendon of Newport News, Virginia and Odessa Stevens of Clinton, Maryland; brother-in-law, James Black of New Britan, Conneticut; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two nephews, Larry Pernicka, Jr. and Cameron Schulte.
Linda was born June 30, 1949, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Louis and Shirley (Batten) Pernicka. On July 30, 1988, she married Ozie Eggelton in Cedar Rapids.
Linda enjoyed gardening, flowers, working outside, camping and being with her family.
