Lillian G. Hillers, 89, of Manchester died Thursday, January 29, 2015 at the Good Neighbor Home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Delaware. Family will greet friends from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 2, 2015 at Clifton Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Earlville and one hour prior to service at the church. Burial will be at Pine View Cemetery, Delaware.
Lillian was born January 30, 1925 on a farm near Greeley, the daughter of Benjamin and Viola (Neal) Parker. She united in marriage to Martin Hillers, Jr. March 7, 1945. Prior to marriage Lillian was employed as a Nurse’s Aide at the Willard Hospital. Lillian and her husband Martin farmed for 33 years near Oneida. Lillian was active as a 4-H leader, Sunday school teacher, and a member of the Delaware County Porkettes, and was a lifetime member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. After she and Martin retired and moved to Manchester in 1982, she then worked at the Good Neighbor Home as a CNA and did in home care for the elderly. Lillian loved spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her children, Larry (Sue) Hillers of Delhi, Steven (Joan) Hillers, and Randall (Judy) Hillers of Manchester, Diana (Jerry) Bodensteiner of Cedar Rapids, Carolyn (Dan) Greenfield of Scotch Grove; thirteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
Lillian was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Martin in 2007; two brothers, Sidney Parker and George Parker, and one sister, Dora Noble.
