Lillian Marie Edwards (Stodola)

Lillian M. Edwards, 83, of 202 35th Street Drive S.E., Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Tuesday, August 5, 2008, St. Luke’s Hospital, Cedar Rapids, following a short illness. Services:1:00 p.m., Friday, August 8, 2008, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Lloyd Brockmeyer. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, August 7, 2008, at the funeral home. Burial: Czech National Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her sons, Steven (Kristi) Edwards of Mesa, Arizona and Larry (Karen) Edwards of Marion; four grandchildren, Nicole, Jennifer, Katelynn and Allison; and one great grandchild, Erin.
Lillian was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, John.
Lillian was born November 25, 1924, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of John and Julia Stodola. On October 4, 1947, she married John Edwards. He died February 3, 1992.
Lillian was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, past president and lifetime member of American Legion Hanford Post # 5 Auxiliary and the Western Fraternal Life # 13 member for 50 years.
A memorial fund has been established in Lillian’s memory.
