Lillian Celia Corum, 88, of 2495 4th Avenue, died Sunday, June 06, 2004, at her home, following a long illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 11, 2004, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion by Rev. Del Bear. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Burial: Oak Shade Cemetery in Marion.
Survivors include her sons, David and Donald, both of Cedar Rapids; her former daughter-in-law, Kazuko "Dee? Corum of Cedar Rapids; two grandchildren, Kenneth (Jenny) Corum of Gladstone, Missouri and Karen Corum, a student at the University of Iowa; and one great-grandson, Murphy Corum.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a son, DeWayne Corum; all of her brothers and sisters including: Blanche Dvorak, Lucille Heckel and Antone Hala.
Lillian was born September 11, 1915, in Toledo, Iowa. On January 22, 1937, she married Walter A. Corum in Cedar Rapids. He died in 1991. She was a homemaker and worked at Wilson Foods, retiring after ten years. Lillian was a proud member of United Food & Commercial Workers P-3.
