Lila L. Hegland, 77, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Tuesday, November 22, 2011, in her home. Services: 1:00 p.m., Friday, November 25, 2011, at River of Life Ministries, 3801 Blairs Ferry Road N.E., by Pastor Brian Fink. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her children, Leslie (Lonny) Bartholomew of Seattle, Washington, Dave Hegland of Cedar Rapids and Tarie Hegland-O’Reilly of Cedar Rapids; her brother, Steve (Shirley) Williams of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa; six grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
Lila was preceded in death by her parents; and two children, Michael and Ed.
Born April 26, 1934, in Keosauqua, Iowa, Lila was the daughter of Everett and Lillian Ratliff. She graduated from Keosauqua High School and then served her country in the United States Air Force. Lila retired from Cherry Burrell.
