Lila I.(Blecha) Manley, 72, of Fairfax, died Sunday, February 1, 2004, in her home, following a long illness. Memorial Services: 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 3, 2004, at the First Presbyterian Church, near Ely, by Pastor Bob David. Arrangements with Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Inurnment: Linwood Mausoleum, Cedar Rapids.

Survivors include her children, Martin Manley and wife Sandy of Ramona, California, and Sharla Manley of Fairfax; eight grandchildren, Paul, Adam, Luke, Lauren, Dean and Sydney Manley, Mitchell and Alex Potts; and two sisters, Ila League of Stratton, Nebraska and Virginia Blecha of Omaha, Nebraska.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Keith; two brothers, Walter and Dale Blecha; and a sister, Mary Helen Gadeken.

Lila was born April 23, 1931, the daughter of Albert and Hattie (Wilkinson) Blecha, in Benkleman, Nebraska. On June 25, 1950, she was united in marriage to Keith D. Manley. He died February 2, 1981, in Yuma, Arizona. In the early 1950?s, Lila taught school in a one room schoolhouse in Nebraska, and for 20 years, she worked as a bookkeeper for farm equipment companies. Lila was dearly loved and will be truly missed by her family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids in memory of Lila.
