Libbie E. Vishek Andrews, 94, of 136 36th Avenue S.W., died Saturday evening, October 5, 2002 in Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids, following a short illness. Services: 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 8, 2002, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Brian Milford of Lovely Lane United Methodist Church. Burial: Czech National Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Friends may call from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Surviving is a nephew, Donald Kouba and his wife Sharon of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her two husbands; and a sister, Adeline Kouba.
Born December 14, 1907, in Cedar Rapids, to Louis and Anna Jandera Rericha, she married Lumir Vishek on May 16, 1931. He died January 30, 1964. On November 6, 1971, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, she married Norman C. Andrews. He died December 5, 1995. A lifelong resident of Cedar Rapids, Libbie was a member of Chada Pautz Club; El Kahir Shrine Auxiliary; C.S.A. Lodge No. 388; Jr. American Czech; Praha Rebecca Lodge; and Cedar Valley Humane Society.
Memorials may be given to the El Kahir Shrine Auxiliary.
