LeRoy G. McIntosh, 72, of Watauga, Texas, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, November 3, 2005, at Baylor Medical Center, Fort Worth, Texas, following a short illness. Services: 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 8, 2005, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. The family will greet friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, November 7, 2005, at the funeral home. Burial: Campbell Cemetery, Bertram, with military honors.

Survivors include his wife, Eileen; two sons, Brian McIntosh and Steven McIntosh, both of Texas; two daughters, Connie (Allan) Seiler and Janet (Robert) Miller, both of Cedar Rapids; four grandchildren, Rachael (Scott) Wennermark, Shannon, Lindsey and Ellie Seiler; two great-grandchildren, Seth and Trenten Wennermark; special nieces, Jean (Laurel) Franks, Joyce (David) Raphjen, Betty Klein, Sherry Wolf, Evelyn Bowers, all of Cedar Rapids, and Lynn Hightower, of Anna, Texas; special nephews, Jesse (Edith) Parker, Jr., Eugene McIntosh, Floyd McIntosh, Ernie McIntosh, Gerald Bowers, all of Cedar Rapids, and John McIntosh of Houston, Texas; and several other special nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers and sisters, Baby Lawrence, Floyd, Mamie, Howard, Cora Opal, Walter, Alice, Paul and Harold.

LeRoy was born January 15, 1933, the son of Judson and Cora Ann (Johnson) McIntosh, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. On December 3, 1960, he married Eileen Ruby Booher in Marion, Iowa. LeRoy served during three separate terms in the United States Army. First during the Korean Conflict at Pork Chop Hill, where he earned a purple heart with Oak Leaf Clusters. His second enlistment from 1954-1957 was spent in Germany as a MP and also driving military trucks. LeRoy?s third enlistment was during the Vietnam War era. A life member of the 511 Infantry, he also was stationed at Fort Benning, Georgia, in the 11th Air Assault Division, where he earned several other military medals. LeRoy worked also as a mechanic for Boeing for a period of time. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

A memorial fund has been established in memory of LeRoy.
