Leonard D. Mosher, 87, died Saturday, October 26, 2002, at the Meadows Assisted Living, Manchester, after a brief illness.
Services will be at 10:30 am on Tuesday, October 29, 2002, at the Manchester United Methodist Church with Rev. David H. Wagner, Sr., officiating. Friends may call from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Monday at the Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home, Manchester, and for one hour before services on Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, rural Masonville, Iowa.
Leonard was born on January 27th, 1915, near Masonville, Iowa, the son of Clide "C.C.? & Odessa (Rose) Mosher. Leonard received his education in Masonville and Lamont, Iowa. On January 8, 1935, Leonard was united in marriage to Alberta Clark at St. John?s Lutheran Church in Dundee. The couple farmed for many years near Masonville, Iowa, before moving into the town of Manchester in 1977.
Leonard is a member of the Manchester United Methodist.
Leonard?s family includes his wife, Alberta M. Mosher of Manchester, Iowa; two sons and their wives, Donald & Vanita Mosher of Appleton, Wisconsin, and Gordon & Dixie Mosher of Huxley, Iowa; five grandchildren, Allan Mosher, Michael Mosher, Kenneth Mosher, Curtis Mosher, and Jennifer Albers; five great grandchildren, Heather and Christopher Mosher, Sophia Mosher, Mark and Samantha Mosher; two step-great grandchildren, Trevor Vanderlois and Zach Neuman; and a brother-in-law, Ray Sullivan of Masonville, Iowa; one niece, Deanna Griswold; one nephew. Gary Sullivan; and five cousins.
Leonard was preceded in death are his parents; one grandson, Jeffery Mosher; twin great granddaughters, Hailey and Hannah Mosher; and a sister, Doris Sullivan.
