Leland "Pete" Butters

Leland “Pete” Butters, 73, a resident of Willow Gardens Care Center in Marion, died there Wednesday, June 18, 2008, following a short illness. Funeral Services: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 21, 2008, at Ascension Lutheran Church in Marion by Rev. John Albertson. Visitation will be from 10:00 ?" 11:00 at the church. Burial: Brown Cemetery in Colesburg. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion.
Survivors include a brother, Charles (Norma) Butters of Flower Mound, Texas; a sister, Eunice (Toby) Koeppen of Marion; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Leland was born June 21, 1934, the son of Roy and Jessie (Barnhart) Butters in Guttenberg. He worked at Kings Castle Feed and Marion Square Mall.
Leland was a charter member of Faith Lutheran Church.
